Ye Olde Nags Head, a timeless 17th Century Coaching Inn, situated in the beautiful village of Castleton in the Peak District, Derbyshire. Ye Olde Nags Head now enjoys a log-burning fireplace in all 3 reception rooms aimed at providing the very best in customer comfort.
Guests can expect those small touches such as a complimentary bottle of wine in all rooms. The New Menu has introduced mulled wine as a winter warmer and has been changed to include many traditional country dishes. Giant Yorkshire pudding, liver and onions, bangers & mash, steak & ale pie, and much much more. The Mighty Mixed Grill will challenge the heartiest of eaters!
The Nags Head has 10 en-suite letting rooms including their charming four-poster bedrooms, three with Jacuzzi bathing. Rates are from £50 per room per night midweek. Antique furniture is being introduced to the bedrooms and a schedule of careful refurbishment has now commenced. All works are being carried out with sympathy and consideration for the period. Our aim is to create 17th century tradition combined with today's modern day creature comforts!

One of the specialities already introduced is a ‘Giant English Breakfast’ served on a 12” Oval Platter. It is filled by 2 rashes of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, black pudding, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, toast and large mug of tea/coffee!! Wow, all for just £5.95, served all day,7 days a week. Take away service also available, bacon and sausage rolls etc. Everyone welcome; even muddy boots ~ campers, walkers, business people, coach parties, you name it, we welcome you all.
